What’s the chance of a false positive at 4 weeks?

Hello, how common is it to actually get a positive test result at 4 weeks? My period is one-two days late so I tested two times in the same day with clear blue and they both were positive. My last period was December 20th 2020, I’m sure false positives don’t happen “that often” but is it normal that I tested positive so early? Or does that mean anything bad? I haven’t made an appointment because I just found out today. My cycles average around 28-29 days. When I took the test the BFP was really fast! I took it with first morning urine. Then I took one a few hours ago and again it was positive. I want to be excited but I want to make sure that it’s normal to test positive so soon. Sorry if this is silly.. any experience with testing early? This would be my second child.

Did you read the test at the right time  That means not letting it sit for a long time.  When they sit, they do develop a second line and it is not a positive, it's an evaporation line.  Beyond that, if you are getting positive tests and two at that, ya, you sound pregnant!!!!  :>)))))  We have a pregnancy forum.  I found out I was pregnant and had the same questioning if it was real or not.  But those tests when used correctly are very accurate.  Congratulations!

Hello! When I took the two test yesterday they were immediately positive so the test didn’t sit long at all. I took a digital one today and it was also positive! (Pregnant) in big letters.

I’m only 4 ish weeks, when should I make an appointment with my gyno?

A second pregnancy is not high risk. You can wait until you miss a second period. Prenatal vitamins are always a good bet
