early pregnancy

Hi I have been experiencing light to mild cramping since I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I have no spotting or anything. They are constant but sometimes they are very light so its hard to feel them. Should I be worried or is this a normal thing in early pregnancy, I am 5 weeks and 1 day

Cramping is normal but be vigilant about any bleeding I miscarried at 6weeks and 4 days on July 24 I started bleeding no cramps just lower back pain (of which is another normal symptom of pregnancy) I had some mild cramping on the 27th and a few on the 28th but nothing that I had not felt before or during a period. Just stay postive take care of yourself and pray. Good luck and congratulations!

As long as you're not bleeding you should be fine. You'd know with a miscarriage the pain isalmost unbarable . It could be your uterus stretching our round ligaments, your body is just making more room for baby!  :-)

Yay! I think with miscarriages, it's suppose to feel like extreme cramping, where you're in serious pain. When it's light cramping, where u feel like your period is going to come. That's normal. I'm happy to hear everything is good!

thanks! they said everything was fine and progressing normal, they had to do tests to make sure the cramping wasn't because of a miscarriage. I am feeling better now

Hmm I wonder why they would say that since you're just cramping and there's no bleeding. Who did you talk to? You know what book really helped me, Your pregnancy week by week by Glade Curtis. It talks about what you're going through and what you're feeling. Try to relax, stress is no good for the baby. I cramped for a couple of weeks when I was first pregnant, my Dr said it was perfectly normal. Let me know what they say. Good luck.

I've read that cramping is a sign of being pregnant. I had them too when I first found out that I was pregnant, it's almost like you're about to start your period. I had it for a couple of weeks. I think it's the growing of your uterus and ligaments to hold it up. So don't worry. Congratulations!
