light and brown period... HELP!!

I've always had irregular periods, so spotting isn't something I'm unfamiliar with... Although I've never been this sexually active before. My boyfriend and I have sex everyday except for when I'm on my period, so I'm always paranoid in the back of my mind about getting knocked up... (I'm only 20 and do NOT need a child right now!) about 10 days before my period most typically starts, I had some light spotting for a day and a half. I freaked out because IMPLANTATION BLEEDING, but the first pregnancy test was negative... So I waited about 9 days and took the 2nd pregnancy test... Also negative. The day I took the 2nd test, I began what I HOPE is my period... Usually my periods are very heavy with extreme cramping & other physical symptoms, but this time it is a VERY light flow and is almost all a brown color (sometimes dark red) with no cramping or other menstrual symptoms... What do you all think?? Am I pregnant or is it maybe just stress? I have just taken myself off of the med Abilify as well... Please help me I am freaking out :(

I had the same issue, I took  omega 3 and vitamin E after two days I started having light brown(like Guinea corn) substance coming out of my ***** and later blood started flowing though not heavy when I was not menstrating. It lasted for a month And then I was worried so visited the gyn and he did scan but every thing was fine in me and the could not diagnose the problem cos i failed to tell him I took vit e n omega 3. Then when I stopped this meds the bleeding stopped. And then i took omega 3 alone for about a month but did not bleed nor had the reddish brown substance comming out. So i think vit e was the problem n not just good for me. Though at that time I was unaware that these meds caused the bleeding so After few months later I repeated the same drug omega 3 and vit e shortly after my period and the problem came again. I started having some reddish brown substance come out of me and later I bleeded so I discontinued the medication.. And today I'm fine I do not combine and use omega 3 and vit e cos its not just good for me.

Hi,

Great news, so pleased for you!  :) there are injections that work for 12wks at a time, not heard of 6mnths unless relatively new but your fertility can take up to a year to fet back to normal after which so this method is good if you dont want to get pregnant for a while. x

Took another test and it came out negative... Thank god. Yes I need to get on some kind of birth control, not ready for any mini me's just yet! I've heard there is a shot that is effective birth control for up to 6 months??

Hi,
As you say yourself,  your periods are irregular therefore will not always be the same flow too. You never mentioned anything about contraception so I take it you dont use it, which if you dont want a baby ,you should definitely be using!  
The bleed you've had could be because of the stress your under. I would do a final test to definitely rule out pregnancy and if negative think yourself lucky you had a close shave! Good luck
