started feeling flutters!!

So ive had the mirena iud for a year and a half i had it put in after i had my daughter who is turning two in september. Everything ok i guess but like 7 months ago my period started to come every 2 1/2 weeks. Anyways for like a month now i have been feeling flutters in my stomach. The last time i took a pregnancy test was over 2 months ago. Im just wondering if i could be pregnant even while still having my period and the iud? How common is this? Should i go test??

Very uncommon. The Mirena IUD has a .4% chance of failure if still properly in place. IF you were feeling flutters do to pregnancy, you would be at least 13+ weeks, or more. Your odds of it also being a proper uterine pregnancy are decreased as well. I would see a doctor and/or take a pregnancy test, but more than likely you're having something else happen. Gas, nerves, etc are all often confused for fetal movement.
