unusually late period but negative pregnancy test?

Hi! It's my first time posting--hello everyone!
Just have a question that someone might be able to help with...
Ever since I got married I have had a VERY regular 28 day menstrual cycle--never late, never early.
We are trying to get pregnant, and today I am at least five to six days late for my period.
I did a pregnancy test this morning that came up negative.
How reliable is that result since I usually have such a normal cycle?
I don't have any other symptoms besides frequent urination and butterflies in my stomach that could just be from the excitement of the whole situation.
So I guess my question is whether or not it is "worth it" to take another pregnancy test; if so, when; or, what else could even be the cause of such a delay in my usually predictable period?

Hi can any1 shed any light on my situation, i have had a baby 7 months ago,normal periods after until last period end of july and not seen anything since ,we are trying for another baby but all preg tests come up negative. anyone else going throught the same thing and got any answers? thanks

i have had 3 pregnant test they all come back negative and i had a blood test and that came back ok but i 3 weeks late coming on my period and never been that late and i abit wounder

i am four months late on my period.  all tests are negitive and my hormons are normal. had an ultrasound and noting but still no period. i am nineteen and have already had one sucsessful pregnancy. i have literally ll of the early signs.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if your taking the HCG diet drops, a pregnancy test will show up positive.

I have this same thing happening to me!! 9 days late, 6 pregnancy tests later and still all a bfn, I also started getting a light brown discharge At the end of when my af was supposed to leave, it's not alot and it's not all that frequent but it's still there! Any ideas ladies?? I'm so confused!!
