back ache - is it labour ?

im 36 weeks but feeling to totally ready to have my baby, my body feels like its shutting down and im too tired to even move, i am having severe back ache no contractions or any other feelings but this back ache is terrible could this be a sign of labour ? its been bad for at least 3 hours now ive had it before but usually would of worn off by now, would i really need to be having some sort of discomfort in my tummy ??

Some women experience back pain associated with labor however, I do not think this is your case...sounds like normal pregnancy discomfort associated with the end of the third trimester (extra weight, lower back trying to accommodate, increased levels of relaxin hormone causing ligaments and muscles to 'relax' and therefore making it easier to pull a muscle etc.)  

Any update?  How are you feeling?

no labour and no sign but lots of back ache still continuing just been having a hot water bottle, its so frustrating but definatly no baby as yet thanks for your comment x
