Anyone else thirsty ALL the time?

Ok, so I'm going through about 5-6 water bottles a day at least, and I'm still SOOOO thirsty! I Just finished one, and already my mouth is so dry it feels like I haven't drank anything in hours!  Its really early for GD I know, but my family has a really strong history of diabetes (both my parents, grandmother, aunt....) Do you think I should be worried, or is this a common symptom in early pregnancy?

I just wanted to say that I drink lots of fluid during the day also. I am told that your body needs a lot of water to support the baby and the increase of blood in your body. Drinking water is a good thing. I wouldn't be worried if I was you. I know that I drink all day long and I pee all day long too!!!

I am drinking water all the time as well and running for restroom after every hr. I was wondering how much water is too much. I am glad to know that this is a normal sign though

I recently found out the I am hypothyroid and started my meds couple of weeks ago.

To be honest with you I have hypothyroidism too. They had to up my med levels. You really need to get your levels checked while pregnant!

so im going thru about 10 bottles a day.. but i am diabetic. so they say that is what it is due too. im just thankful its water and not something else. i ask my doctor and he said as long as i go to the restroom enough to account for all the bottles i drink it is fine. i hated water till i got prego. now i cant get enough..
but  ask your doctor.. thats the best thing to do.

I'm also ALWAYS thirsty. I am hypothyroid so until reading this, was thinking that maybe being pregnant made my thyroid worse. Glad to see it's a normal sign of pregnancy!!

I don't think its usually related to GD until later on in the pregnancy.  GD usually doesn't show up until the 2nd or 3rd trimester.  However, I'm at a pretty high risk for developing diabetes just because of my family history, so I was kind of concerned.  I'm not so much now though that it seems others have the same symptom. I'll still bring it up with my Re next week though.

I believe it's normal, but just in case, I would bring it up at your next appt. Like tobbeyj said, that's great that you can drink so much water, Im sure the little bean appreciates it. How I wish I could drink water without throwing half of it right back up =/

I have days where I just die of thirst. I think its normal. The more water you drink the better it is for your preg. Its great that you are thirsty and drinking so much liquid :)
