Baby Weight

i went in for a 26 week ultrasound today and i found out my baby's weight...i was just curious as to how much the rest of your babies weigh! my son weighs 2lbs!
so how far along are you and how much does your baby weigh?

at 28 weeks my son was 2 lbs 14 oz

I know it can be frustrating when the dr doesn't give info. It's like pulling teeth, LOL Try and remember to ask on your next visit. Remember, though, that an office estimate is usually not very accurate compared to a ultrasound. :)

I moved to another state 2 weeks ago and my 30 week appt with my dr resulted in me STILL not being told how much my baby weighs. I wonder at what pt the docs will decide to tell me.... i'm gettin frustrated!

well i ended up havin a growth scan as my bp started to play up and they thought the baby might be on the small side. (thats what i get for givin out about not havin a growth scan). as it turns out baby weighs 3 and half pound at almost 31 weeks which they have informed me is spot on, thank god.

I went for my 29 wk ultrasound and the estimated weight for her was 3 pounds, 4 oz.  I was truly amazed and they said she was about 1 1/2 weeks ahead on everything.  I could see she had hair when they put it on the 4D setting... I would guess about 1/2" long already!  Her fingers were really long too!  I can hardly wait till she gets here!

at 28.5 weeks they said my baby was 2lb 9 oz but only in the 27th percentile.. i dont understand all of it really.. he said not to worry  unless it goes below 10th percentile.. so i hope all is well

I havent had an ultrasound since the end of november and i think at that point he weighed close to a lb. I am not suppose to get another one either unless their are complications or im over due but when i go to my midwifes this week im asking to have another 3D one in a few weeks bc during the last one his face was covered so they couldnt give me a good picture.

The last one was an OB measurement and yes, ultrasounds are a little more accurate with that, but they can be off too.

was it the ultrasound that said his estimated weight was 6 pounds or was it the OB measuring and guessing? i would think that they  would be able to get a closer estimate on weight during an ultrasound but im not sure how that works either.

I know how you feel. With my first son I only got the one scan, but since I've had a previous miscarriage, and a cyst on my ovary, they want to keep an eye on it.

girls im so jeleous, u only get one scan in ireland at about 20 weeks so i wont be getting anymore scans so i wont be able to get an estimate on the babys weight. im 29 weeks today so i presume the baby is around the two and a half - three pound mark.

The only thing with estimated baby weights is that they can be WAY off. A week before my due date with my son, my OB said he weighed 6lbs. Two days later, five days before my due date, I had him and he weighed 8 lbs!!

hm, my baby was exactly 2 lbs and was said to be in the 50th percentile...its interesting to see how different everyones are...i wonder if any of us will have a huge baby lol

Today I am 29w5d.

The last time I went in for an ultrasound was on 12/22/2009 and was 25w2d and baby's weight was 2 lbs 1 oz and he was in the 91st percentile. I should mention, though, that I have always measure big and this ultrasound put me at 26w6d, so about a week and a half ahead of schedule, but OB is keeping me at my original due date.

I went yesterday (at 26 weeks) and my little boy weighed 1 lb 12 oz.  Dr. said he was in the 41st percentile for weight.

I am 27w and my little boy is 2 lbs  as well!
