I think the further along you get the more uncomfortable the BH can get. I had a few yesterday that completely stopped me from walking, though they were gone quickly.
i talked to the doc and he confirmed it was BH. I notice that i feel mine mostly in the evening, which is maybe cuz i'm tired after a day of working (and we're moving!). Is it normal for them to be pretty intense sometimes? there's no pattern like I've been told there would be in ACTUAL labor but it does get pretty painful
I noticed the tight ball feeling below my belly button but it's usually after I've been sitting and I just assumed it was the baby kind of squeezed down because of the way I was sitting... maybe I'm wrong?? I usually only notice it after I get up from the sitting position.
It sounds like BH to me. :)
a few times i've experienced what i would call an overall tightening, uncomfortable sensation above, below and behind my belly button. IT feels like something is just squeezing me really tight. Is this BH? As others said..it's not "painful" per se but uncomfortable...
I don't think it's anything to worry about. I didn't get them until around 28 weeks with my first. Some women get a lot and some don't feel anything. I think both are quit normal. I do know that subsequent pregnancy will bring them on sooner.
is it normal for me to not be getting them? because the way you guy's describe them...im deffinitly not getting any...is that weird? should i be?
i started getting them around 18 weeks,im 23 weeks now and they are getting very uncomfortable now.i dont feel it much when im walking around, its mostly when i lie down that i notice it,so its hard to sleep, and im starting to get sharp pain right through my stomack with them,i dont think i had pain with bh on my other pregnancys,il have to ask the doc about that.
Most of the time the just feel like your abdomen is bunched up in a tight ball. Once in a while I will get a sharp pain that seems to shoot straight down my cervix, which will sometimes stop me in my tracks. They can get uncomfortable, but should never be considered painful and never more than a few times an hour. They are usually very short lived and will stop when you change position, walk or drink water.
I've been having some too. Only like three times a day. I thought it was the baby turning around until i asked my midwife about it last monday and she said if it feels like a basketball turning into a bowling ball but Isnt painful its braxton hicks. I had never even considered it being that till she said that and thats exactly what it feels like to me. I feel like i usually get them after i pee or when i stand up from sitting for awhile. Its such a wierd feeling to me.
im 23 weeks and havent had any yet...that im aware of...doesnt sound like much fun though. ive read about them so i think i know what to expect but what do they feel like for you two?
I went in for an ultrasound at 19 weeks and the tech commented on the BH contractions, though I couldn't feel them at that point. :) My OB said the same thing about the water and bladder, but it doesn't matter, I get them anyway. My nausea has made a HUGE return lately, barely can keep anything down, so it is hard, but I force myself to drink a lot of water, even though it usually comes back up. The sharp pains are there too sometimes, though they are quick to leave.
lucky u! i starting have them at 18-19 weeks. just like urs they arent painful, but now that my babies in s head down position i have some sharp pains every now and then. my doctor told me that contractions can be brought on by having a full bladder and by not drinking enough water. so make sure your bladder gets emptied a lot and u drink loads of water. as long as theres not more then 4 or 5 an hour, everything is pretty normal.
