Found the heartbeat at home with Doppler

As I have mentioned before - hubby and I purchased a doppler for home because - well - we are a little crazy LOL - but last night for the first time we finally heard the baby's heartbeat and not just mine. It was great!  Still strong at 179 which at my ultrasound it was at 186. I was super excited. :)  Now I am going to put it away and listen only once a week so it doesn't become an obsession. haha!

It was about $110 Canadian and about $100 Amer. I also had to pay shipping though from the US to Canada - so if you are in the US it might be cheaper. I considered renting but then decided that I would buy and pay it fwd with friends and family when they get preg too. :)   Go for it!

I'm seriously considering renting a doppler.  I'd love to be able to hear the baby's HB whenever I want to (or, whenever he/she wants me to!) but I know it will become an obsession with me, so I'm torn right now.  Can I ask how much yours cost? I hadnt' thought about looking on ebay for one.

Hey  - I got a 3MhZ one from ebay - some place in the US. I did not get it until 10wk. 3 days. I am serious that at 10 week 0 days it was not there.  am addicted to it but have heard that its not good to use all the time. I will try to keep it to 1x week but I think it will be more like 1x day. I was stoked when I found it....and it was hidden behind my heartbeat so was hard to find too. I def think there are pros and cons to it. :)

Thats great! What kind and where did you buy it? Are you addicted to it or what now..LOL.
How soon before you could figure out how to hear the HB?
