Swollen Pelvis and can't go for a 10 - 15 min walk

With my other 2 pregnancies with our boys, I don't recall of having my pelvis being swollen and painful. I was wondering if I should have any concerns about this or is it just natural? Also I was having problems with swelling of feet, legs and hands, my family dr. encouraged me to do more walking, which I thought was really good but if I walked from our house to our childrens school to pick them up which is usually a 10 - 15 min walk, I would be in alot of pain and discomfort and I could not move at all. It hurt to stand, sit, lay or anything. It hurts my lower back and my pelvis area also I feel like I am dropping everytime I walk for more than 5 -10 min. One Friday I had to walk to the school to pick up the oldest boy and I was sore and in discomfort so I ended up getting a cab home and the whole weekend I was really sore and in pain to move at all. The following Monday I had false labor, and the dr.s at the hospital had told me that I had white blood cells in my urine but I wasn't put on anything then they told me that I can not walk that much anymore just pretty much walk around the house area. The baby is still active and I'm due April 23rd 2010. Can you possibly give me an insight of what I can possibly do to help this pregnancy last until the due date because I'm afraid of going in too early.
Thank you
Melissa

out of my 5 babies i had this on just 1. doc kept telling me not to worry. but everything and i mean everthing down there was swollen.. as well as hands and ankles ans wrists.. it was horrible.. i also got very itchy down there from being so swollen. its sooo horrible and i would hate to go through that again,, but he did say it was nothing to worry about its just from pressure, but omg i feel for you now!  oh the joys!! i was told plenty of bed rest, stay off your feey as much as possible, witch i could not do anyway so i had it till the end. but try keep your feet up on the couch or whatever..

I dont know what to say except im in the same boat and my doc said the presure and pain form me walking is the baby moving further down.My doc has told me no long drives (as u have to sit up straight) no long walks no lifting and no mowing the lawn and he also added no nothing" so im guessing its his way of saying bed rest as i have 2 other children which make that impossiable lol just curious whats ur fundal height?
