The Name Game

I know it's still early in our pregnancies, but have any of you settled on names? From the other post I know most of us have to wait until November until our gender u/s, but I was just curious. DH and I have been throwing a few out there, but we haven't settled on any as of yet. :)

I DESPISE common names ... my name is Rebecca, lol my parents cursed me, there were 29 rebecca's in my graduating highschool class ...

I named my other tots Tristan Bailey and Noah Zachary

Boy- Micheal Eugene    (michael after DH and Eugene after his dad who passed away from cancer in 07 Eugene was his middle name)
Girl- Michaela Ann        (michaela after DH and Ann after my grandma who was like my mom)

We arent definite on anything yet but we've been stuck on the name Lily since day one (after my bf's gram whose raised him & is named elizabeth but has always been called lily/lil) or Eily to make is a little different. & we like the boy name Grey but want something longer. I have a feeling we wont really decide will we find out what we are having though.

BradyAm.. I LOVE the name Shamus!  I'd never heard the name until I moved out to the east coast of Canada (huge Irish background here).. great pick.

We're settled on:

Girl - Aurora Sage (yeah.. my screen name was chosen faarrrr in advance.. haha)
Boy - Royden Jarvis

So, the stories behind these choices..   Short forming both first names gives you Rory and Rora.. just so that they have a good reason to hate me.. hahahaha!  

Aurora has always been a fave of mine... and the Northern Lights have always been seen right around my birthday on the years where I've been back home in Northern Ontario.. I love them (Aurora Borealis).. and sage just because we're both chefs and wanted to have a great reference in there.. plus I love that it means wise.

Royden is a common boys name on my paternal side... usually a middle name that gets used as a first.. and it was my fathers, who passed last fall.  Jarvis is DH's favourite grandfathers name, who passed a few years ago... andddd I love that name as well.

For a girl we've decided for sure on Kayleigh Patricia. We haven't settled on a boy's name yet though. We know the middle name will be David for DH's brother (he died 8 years ago) but we haven't decided on a first name yet.  I like Aiden, but its SOO popular right now.  We also both like Kieran, but we haven't decided 100% on that. It will be Irish though, whatever we pick.

hubby's nake is Shamus so were going to either have a Shamus or Dublin James for a boy. but for a girl we cant really agree on anything. I like Kaylee or Jennifer, he likes Brittan (hate it!)

GOD NO!!! Hubby and I do not agree on anything. He wants Matthew and I want Nathan, neither of us hate the others choice in names but we CANNOT agree.

I like Olivia, and he does too but I know I will call her Liv or Livy and I don't like these short forms. I am lazy for names and always shorten them. Hubby likes Taylor and I am against. We have stopped talking about names for now and will name the baby when we find out the sex in a few weeks.
