thanks ladies! im glad im not the only one who has had issues in the bra department! lol
my boobs havent actually grown that much yet...maybe just half a size and im sitting around wondering when they will all of a sudden become huge...lol
Ohhhh LADIES!!
I should have written a huge post about this topic earlier..
I'm usually a medium sized D.. or a large C, depending on the time of the month.... but always wore a type of sports bra. Being in a unisex, heavy uniform all of the time, it was just wayyyy more comfortable.
THEN. bam. these breasts took over my body.
one solution... Bravado!
I ordered the d-dd size one first (they have a fancy measuring system.. but have amazinnnng customer service when you email questions!) and they arrived two days later... beautiful and superbly well-made bras that actually fit. A great wide and stretchy band at the bottom that works very well with expanding bellies, at this size, it's a kind of crossover design that prevents the uni-boob of sports bra designs.. PLUS they're nursing bras too! with those clips.. for about a month now I've been starting to pop right out of that size... and have now bought one of the E+ size ones.. fannntastic. a little less cute, but ohhh man. so comfortable and supportive and still fantastic with the growing belly. a great wide back to distribute the weight too.. and still is a nursing bra.
I'm just worried about when the milk comes in.. I hope that I don't start falling over forwards.
:P
but really.. find Bravado Bras! I bought the first two online and then the newest one at an independent maternity/childrens consignment store.. they just happened to sell these bras new.. because the owner loved them so much when she was pregnant and nursing!
I logged on to create my own posts about bras....but saw this one first!! I bought a few bras at about 16 to 18 weeks and have needed a new one for a while, but FINALLY went to the mall yesterday b/c i couldn't stand the tightness & friction anymore!! Like you sunkissed...i had NO idea what size I am b/c if I"ve EVER been properly measured, it was so long ago that I can't recall. I've never had breasts big enough to be an issue for measuring anyways..i just found a bra i liked and voila! But being pregnant has changed things considerably! I went from a mid-B cup, to a D and the D was too tight, as I said. So I went to Motherhood Maternity in the Mall and told the lady that I had NO idea what size I was anymore, b/c my breasts had grown from the armpit area and nothing seemed to cover those. She measured me and said I was measuring an E!!! An E PEOPLE!!! Now, I'm 5'4 and currently weight 169 which is evenly distributed across my butt, thighs, and hips (pear shaped i suppose). My upper body has always been somewhat slender, so to hear the letter "E" come out of her mouth had me laughing. We all know Pamela Anderson's knockers LOOK huge, and I'd gues those were E's. Mine....barely look like C's...so how can this be?? I don't understand but agreed to try on a few E's and low and behold....they provide the perfect coverage!!!
So...my point is....allow someone to measure you. Saves a LOT of time, and a lot of needless wasted money! And the bras were cheap! I got 2 for $18 each!
Ugh! I feel the same kind of. I dont know if you have a victoria secret by you but they will measure you and tell you your current size. Then you can buy the correct size where ever you want. Also i went to aerie which is american eagles under wear store and they will give you a tray of every bra style they carry (About 10) in whichever size you want then you can try them all on at once and find a good fit. I found two styles i really liked there early on in my preg but im busting out of them due to my belly now. Their prices are reasonable and they have good sales and coupons!
