My first was all natural, it was a great empowering experience. Second was a c sect :(
Going for all natural again this time.
My sister just had her second baby, first was a 7 14 baby girl with epidural, she couldn't feel when to push, tore right through to her rectum, recovery took weeks, she had her baby boy two weeks ago, he was 9 2 so much bigger than her first, she said that yes the pain of labor was a bit worse but the actual birth was easier, she could feel when to push, her body was in control she barely tore and it was over much quicker.

I feel as though birth is an experience that, as women, we are built for. My opinions on birth tend to be a tad polarizing, and it is certainly not my intent to offend anyone that doesn't agree with me.
Both of my boys were born naturally, and the twins will be born at home in water in a few weeks. Labor with my first son lasted 38 hours, and only 4 with my second. Both were would within 4 pushes. Was there pain, yes. Is it totally worth it? Most definitely. I'm not going to lie, there were times during each labor that I wanted to ask for relief, but and happy that I didn't. I cannot describe how empowering it is to birth naturally- one feels as though she could do anything after having a baby. My suggestion is to do what you think is best, and to trust in yourself and your power as a woman.

I went with epidural the first time and that is the plan this time around as well. All I can say is do what you want, consider his opinion but its easier to say that when you are not the one pushing the baby out!! I have had stories go either way with natural, some saying it wasn't that bad-it went by quickly-they did really well with Lamaze-but I have also heard that opposite where the pain was too much to handle etc etc....
