Worried!

Hello! I am 15 weeks along in my first pregnancy and am getting quite worried! I am still waiting for my insurance to process and it is taking forever! I went to a Christian clinic at 9 weeks and they did a free ultrasound and she said the baby looked very healthy but I haven't been able to get a doctor since then. Everyone keeps worrying me saying I'm too far along to have not seen a doctor yet. I have been trying but this insurance thing is becoming quite frustrating. I am worried about the heath of my baby! I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can in the meantime. Help please!

Honestly, people back in the day didn't go see docs all that often. My grandma carried my aunt to 8 months before she visited the clinic and my aunt was fine.  Just take your vitamins and exercise 3x a week.  Eat healthy... 80g of protein a day and make sure you eat iron rich foods.  I'm as far along as you are and all that was advice from my midwife at Friday's prenatal.  She told me to take probiotics daily as well as papaya enzymes after meals to help with digestion and subsequently my nausea. If you have $40 you can order a Doppler on amazon to periodically check baby's heartbeat until your insurance kicks in.

Are you going through a doctor or midwife? Bc midwives offer discounts for self pay.  It's usually only like a 500 deposit and then you pay a couple hundred monthly.  Or you could just go to.an obgyn and tell them you're self pay... In college I didn't haveinsursnce & my doctor would give.me.substantial discounts & free medicine (samples).
