First Prenatal Yoga class!

So, I just had my first prenatal yoga class and it was amazing.  The stretches helped my lower back soooo  much.  I highly recommend it!

I actually did yoga at home before pregnancy (waaaay before, but not within the last year). And I had taken a couple classes at an athletic facility before.  This class was so much different. Things are not just modified, the whole process pertains to the pregnant woman and her needs.  For instance, we're not supposed to do abdominal twists in the second trimester... or lay on our backs at 20 weeks.  She tailored it to our pregnancy weeks.  We used the wall a lot, did a lot of breathing and relaxation and did a lot of balance and strengthening poses bc the way she put it "we need to balance the pregnancy flexibility with strength" (so we don't just fall over with our looser (is that a word?) muscles.  Anyway, I live in the middle of nowhere, so I actually have to drive an hour to town for this class.  I think it's worth it. Hands down.  :)

Were you doing yoga before you got pregnant? I'm interested to know how much it differs...if it is worth going to a specific prenatal class or just modifying a normal class. Need to get my yoga on again! Just don't want to have to drive across the city when a studio is a few mins away from home.
