I am 24 w3d and my baby already weighs 2lbs and they said normal for right now is 1.3lbs so ive got a big baby too im a first time mom and I seem more worried about him being a big baby then my doctors
Yes, I never think my docotors seemed concerned about how big he is, but do say that I may have him sooner than my due date. Hopefully we have normal size babies!
Yeah my brother was almost 10lbs and I wss over 9 so im worried lol. No my dr say if he is big I know he is heslthy its whrn they are small we worry more. Which makes sense but I am the one pushing him out not them lol you having a boy or girl
Well how long are your cycles? If you have 28 day cycles then the edd based on your last menstrual period should be correct. If your cycles are short then you could be a few days farther along.
I am currently 26 weeks and 2 days,
but i had a 3d/4d ultrasound when i was 24 weeks and 6 days and my little girl weighed 1 pound 11oz. i have a ultrasound in radiology for a low placenta check up and i will find out what her current weight is then :)
I am terrified of having another big baby! I had my Son 5 years ago and my entire pregnancy they told me he was "average". Three days before I delivered they scanned me and told me he was approximately 7.2. Well he came out 9.4! And I am 5'0" 100 pounds pre pregnancy! So those ultrasounds and approximations are not always correct. My best friend is a technician and she says its very common for them to be off since it's so difficult to measure accurately.
So now that I'm 28 weeks pregnant with a girl, I am SO concerned about having another big baby. At my 20 week ultrasound she weighed approximately 10/11 oz which they told me was normal. I haven't had an ultrasound since but my friend is scanning me next weekend so very anxious to see how big she is since for a tiny woman my stomach feels HUGE! I saw my doctor two weeks ago at 26 weeks and she said the baby should be around 2 pounds, but who knows! Just keep stressing your concern and hopefully they will take it seriously! Good luck!
Oh also, i've been expressing my big baby concern since the day I got pregnant this time around and my doctor simply explained it as, some women just have big babies, its genetics. Doesn't matter how tiny I am, how tiny my husband is, what I eat, if genetically the gene is there, the baby will be on the bigger side. So sometimes it's just nature! And I am destined for large babies!
My cycles have never been the same some times I hsce a period sometimes I dont, thsts one of the reasons I was told it would be hard for me to conceive. And I have a feeling he is gonna be pretty big but my family has big babies so im probably not getting out of that
Mine weighed 2 lbs 3 oz @ 28 w they said she was lil
I actually have PCOS and was told it would be very unlikeley for me to concieve with out fertility treatments.I never had regualar cycles, But I conceived naturally! Now at 32 weeks he is measuring about 2 1/2 weeks ahed. They will schedule a growth u/s around 36 weeks for me.
