When I had my oldest ten years ago, I had Braxton Hicks contractions for a month prior to his birth. The muscles in my abdomen would get tight and I would describe it as painful for sure. By the time I had him, I was so exhausted and they did end up doing an emergency c-section. I am on my third baby now. I have also been getting tight in my lower abdomen at times. It doesn't last long, but it hurts. I think it may also be Braxton Hicks. Next time you see your OBGYN, make sure you let him/her know what you are feeling. I will too. At my last appointment, I meant to bring it up but my pregnancy brain fog got in the way. I got home and remembered at least half a dozen things I should have mentioned.
My doctor told me the pain I was feeling is the baby growing and the pressure was Braxton hicks. I'm currently 21 weeks. She said it can start happening as early as 4 months
thats been happening to me too! somtimes it is the baby sitting in an aquward position but its also somtimes braxton hicks! it doesnt hurt, just feels uncomfortable! if their is no bleeding then you are fine and nothing to worry about! im 21 weeks and its considered to be early for it!

That sounds like a Braxton Hicks contraction to me.
