Box Braids

For those who don't know getting my hair styled in box braids may take up to 6 hours..its a manageable hairstyle that I'd like to have during delivery and shortly after I give birth. It last about 2-3 months and can start looking a little old after only 1 (depending on how fast my hair grows, and it GROWS) lol
Anyway I have the option of getting them done on March 21st (I'll be 35 weeks)...March 26 (I'llbe 36 weeks) or April 5th (I'll be 37 weeks) my due date is APRIL 23rd and I'm a FTM so I have no clue when it's a good time to keep my eyes open and anticipate a baby...I don't want to go into labor the day of or within a week of my appointment (getting braids initially gives me a headache and I do NOT need any extra pain in case of delivery)

I was wondering the same thing. I want to get my braids done but I don't want to wait til the last minute. This is my fourth baby and even though my first 2 was born 39 weeks and the last one was born at 40 weeks I don't want to think the same with this one cause you just never know. Each pregnancy and baby is different. I'm going to wait til after my 36 week check up which is this coming Thursday to see what my doctor says after checking my cervix. I'm going to go that Saturday for sure because I know I'm measuring a week ahead already and plus I don't want to be in labor with really tight braids. I'm due April 16th but by me measuring a week ahead she may come the first week of April who knows.

I just got Senegalelse twist freshly done this week. I'm due April 13th. If anything I usually get them touched up every 3weeks. This is baby no.2 for me

I'm due April 29 & getting my Senegalese twist tomorrow. I learned to not wait till the last minute because my son came three weeks early the same weekend I was going get my hair done. Idk when my baby boy will come but I don't wanna look a mess again. Lol

I'm due April 4th,  I also need to get my hair in braids asap. It's just the thought of sitting for that long. I've been advised that the longer you leave it,  the harder it is to face. Anyway good luck with the hair and especially with the babies

March 21 would be a good day... I'm actually due April 3rd and I'm also getting box braids , I'm getting mine tomorrow

I say get then done March 21 or 26 because the further along you are the more uncomfortable you'll be sitting that long or having someone in your head that long. They will be nice and loose abd headace will be gone if you have the baby two weeks early. God be with you abd safe delivery.
