Gender myths and predictions

I'm 10 weeks and desperately want a girl. The baby's heart rate was 167 and the Chinese gender chart says girl. It was right for my son. Anyone have strong belief in that calendar or the heart rate predictions of gender?

Also does anyone know which genetics testing besides an amniocentesis and CVS tell you the GENDER?

Chinese gender chart couldn't determine with my son because I didn't know my exact conception date. This time, it clearly says girl and I've had a very different pregnancy so far. With my son, I had a feeling it was a boy from the beginning even though everyone guessed girl. This time, I have a feeling it's a girl. I'll be happy either way though

As far as the Chinese gender chart out of the 3 I already have it was only right on one of them. The heartbeat myth has been right only with my first 2. So neither is 100%. I dont know about any testing that can be done to find out sex other than when you have the ultrasound done. Good luck tho hope you get your girl. :)

My dr. gave me 3 choices for screening chromosomal abnormalities and the one we chose told us the gender and we're having a boy:) I can't remember the name, but ask your dr. and they'll know. Btw it's a basic blood test that gives results in about 1 week with no risk to the baby unlike amnio and cvs.

Btw be careful of heartrate as it xan fluctuate due to baby's movement and development.

Yes, there's a blood test that can determine gender, it also checks for disorders like downs syndrome. It's a little more expensive but worth it.

The heart rate is a good clue. The Chinese gender calendar said girl for me but the materniT21 testing i had done said I'm having a boy. T21 can be done at 11 weeks & it's just a blood test.
