Wish I had guts to try the castor oil. All these success stories and I'm so chicken. 40+2 weeks, 3cms dilated, -2 station and 100% effaced. I'm having my water burst tomorrow @7a. Guess I should just wait...

April babies..haha yep they need to get a smaack on the butt when they make their debut. 38 weeks after hearing that the castor oil only works when your body is ready I change my mind but lord knows its still crosses my mind..lol good luck for who ever takes it  no judge..☺

These April babies play too much. Guess they are so comfortable. Wish they could read our minds! Then they will kno we want them out and we will be so good to them once we are able to hold and love all over them. Haha.

I'm not saying anything bad about using it, I'm just afraid of how bad it could effect me. I've heard that it can speed up things and labor can happen quickly and I can't have that (though the thought is nice), because my fiancé's job keeps him away and I need to ensure he has time to make it home. Kudos to you ladies who are trying it, I'm way too nervous to even consider it.

@cfilds no judgment here. I admire your courage even if you did play it a little safe. Lol.

Guys I know it must be really hard but I would really recommend wait on trying castor oil. If you have doc appt coming up in a day or 2 then definitely don't do something in addition.
The side effects can drain out your energy and then you won't have any left for labor. Plus what if you get dehydrated?
Just believe in labor and delivery, it will happen when is the best time

@hippiemama1 that's what makes me so chicken and don't want to risk it. @cfilds I do feel blessed because this can't get any worse. I've seen the rants and have joined them.

Well you are lucky to be having your water breakage tomorrow. I been ranting for 2 days now. My appt is tues and I am really trying to hold off to see what doc has to say but Lord knows i wanna try castor oil today!! Feels like i am never going to have her if i don't do something to get her out. Walking and sex did nothing to help!!!

I've heard bad things about castor oil. I'd rather wait than deal with the nausea, vomitting, and diarrhea. Especially since you're having your water broken tomorrow.
