Insurance issues...

So my husbands insurance premiums sky rocketed and we can no longer afford having me on (his is paid for thru the company) We only have until the 11th to drop it but in not due until the 17th, I'm 36 wks by that time the latest being the 10th-11th I'll be 39, does anyone think the doc may consider inducing me? Otherwise I'll pretty much get screwed with one wk left having to flip the bill. Any advice on what u ladies will do? I have an appt Monday and fully plan in discussing this all with him, I just wonder if anyone has had a similar experience and if so, what ended up happening?

My husband's insurance rate sky rocketed Also and we had to drop the insurance. Luckily we found out that I would approve for a type of pregnancy Medicaid called kancare. I live in Kansas. It took a couple weeks to be approved but they cover for me back a few months. This all happened last week at almost 35 weeks. I would jump on getting state insurance they cover you 100% and believe me it's a huge weight off your shoulders.

My Dr said she would induce me because my new deductible is going to start over and it will save us a ton of money if we have our baby in March instead of the first week of April. We decided against it but, in your case ask I am sure they will induce you!!!

Depending on where you live. In MN we have MN care and it's for people who are in this situation.  I would look into and state insurance coverage.

They used to have a type of medicaid you could get for pregnancy.  Usually the whole pregnancy is billed through insurance at the end, so you could end up with a higher bill than you think.  Can you do a cobra type thing for the month?  I would look into different insurance options.
