Nipple Stimulation?

I was wondering if anyone has tried nipple stimulation? Does it work? Did it give you contractions?

I wasnt trying to be negative or discouraging.  I had the same questions.  I am trying for VBAC, so when I asked my doctor for information he was very adament that I not try it because of the increased risk in my situation.   Since I don't know your situation,  that may or may not be an issue.  Although it can work and not cause problems for a lot of people, for others it could.  I just wanted to give you the information I had to help you make the decision that is best for you.

Just FYI, my doctor said that this can essentially replicate taking pitocin.  Depending on your situation that might not be safe.  It has a higher risk of needing emergency c-section...not huge, but similar to pitocin.  I would ask your doctor if it is safe to try for you.

I was reading last night you need to do it for atleast 3 hours a day and some woman experienced contractions after 3 days of doing that, it never mentioned labor though just contractions so I guess interpret that how you will :)
