I'm sorry but you should not be checking yourself. Unless you are a medical professional trained in both sterile techniques and understanding what you are looking for then you should not purposefully check. This can cause an infection in your cervix. I am sorry if I am being blunt. I self checked my cervix 6 years ago at 35 weeks and lost my baby from an infection that I myself created. Please don't risk your baby like me and leave it to the professionals who are trained

Well I checked it already. I understand  the risk. I did read alot into in and made sure I used a sterile glove. To be honest as well there's a lot of articles that talk about it as as positive. But in that case as well one should worry about the Risk of sex (or masterbation even)that can have as well at this point with dialation and infection.

Well with my 1st midwife checked me every visit starting 3rd trimester. With my 2nd I had a male OB and he only checked my vag in the very beginning  and after even at 37 weeks never checked  me. I thought I would have but nope nothing. With this dr she's female and she even said once I got to 3rd trimester she would start checking because I could  start sooner because of the my pregnancies went to far apart. But then when I went to labor and delivery at 33 weeks Dr's checked me right at the start.
