Sigh... The name game.

We are having trouble with names again. We named our first daughter in the hospital and I feel like we'll be doing the same this time.  We're having another daughter and I'm hitting 34 weeks tomorrow.
The problem is that he is stuck on Jocelyn... I do not like it. In fact, the name only makes me think of this sluty girl in high school, who did almost all the guys and literally got away with practically showing her butt cheeks everyday in the tightest possible dresses... I just can't get myself to like it.
I told him that I could do Joslin (his mother's maiden name) as a middle name, but that is it. I'm not even sure how well I like using Joslin, but I'm trying to compromise.
Our first is Amelia (Millee) Rose and we both really like older traditional names, but I want something that isn't going to be like the "Brittany" or "Ashley" of my school years. I want a name that will be as pretty as Amelia with the possibility of a nickname. He just won't budge & dismisses absolutely every name I suggest. I'm just getting so frustrated because now he keeps asking what we're going to name her and then we just go over the same thing every time. :( I'm just too emotional right now.

I have a Sofia (Sofie) and I wanted to use Lexi if I had another girl. Then my cousin named his little girl Lexi, and I found out I'm having a boy lol.

I agree with brookethy. I love Loretta, it's my god mother's name. Some of her suggestions are lovely, not overused traditional names.

you could name her Violetta, Hennrietta, Julietta, Jamesetta (like Etta James), Loretta, Rosetta or some name of that sort to utilize Etta as a nickname.

What about the name Annalease, call her Anna.. It can't be spelled several different ways as well. Would be cute paired with Amelia which is beautiful BTW.

Not sure about Elizabeth. It may be a little too popular right now. However, I really like the nickname Eliza For it. I've been leaning towards Charlotte or Scarlett, but he's just "ehh" about them. We love Etta, but I just don't want to name her with a shortened name.

We like classic names too. Our first daughter is Olivia (nicknamed Via).
If this is a girl, she will be Naomi (nickame MiMi or NiMi).
