I was given a list of pediatrician from the hospital I registered at that were in the area. It also listed which ones would come to the hospital.  From the list, we scheduled meetings with some, to see who we wanted.  We met them around 34 weeks. So we made a decision by 36 weeks.

If you have other friends with kids ask their opinion.  As the other 2 said, make sure the doctor is in network.  You can check with your insurance company for a list of doctors in your area too.  I have had mine all along, but we have two other children and we love our pediatrician.

Check your insurance and also check reviews on the pediatrician. Match up up. And like above call your insurance once your home to get him on the ins. The hospital should provide with paperwork to send to ins. Usually after the 3rd day of birth they recommend  a pediatrician to check baby well at least that's what it's like for me. I'm gonna have  babies first visit within the 3rd day.sincw this is my 3rd I already have a dr.

I chose mine when i was around 16 weeks. I scheduled a meet and greet for March (im due early April). Call your hospital and they should have a physician referral line. Then make sure that dr is in your insurance network. You have to add your baby to your insurance once he is born. I have to add mine within 30 days of his birthday. Yours may be different.
