I was scared when I went in because I knew what to expect but it's not as bad as it sounds. You most likely will get a spinal which is similar to an epidural just puts meds in deeper and works quicker. You don't feel them cutting you, just some tugging and pressure. u go in recovery after so the meds can wear off a little and give Ur body time to get feeling back in it. They usually try and get u up moving later that day getbthe blood flowing. U will be fine, don't stress! Good luck!

@norahbee I had a vaginal delivery and a Csection. It's not as bad as it sounds, it just takes a bit longer to recover, actually going in for Csection #3 today as well so our babies share Csection days lol. you will be Ok, I was upset too to find out I had to get another Csection because I had my heart set in trying to have a vbac but in the end it's less strain on your body. Look at it this way, you don't have to suffer thru contractions and hours of hard long labor. Good luck !!

Ya I had ECV option but my doctor said with my circumstances there was less than 50% chance it would even work..be very painful and could end an emergency c section anyway so ya didn't want to do all that..

My baby is breech too. I'm 37 weeks. They will try an ECV (external cephalic version) for me in my 39th week under epidural anesthesia.  If it doesn't work, they'll do a csection that day. The ECV is ultrasound guided and done by the obstetrician. I'm just waiting on the doctor to call me with the birthday! I've also only had natural vaginal births so this is ALL new for me too!

I am terrified of child birth all together! I am 25, this is my first baby. I am 36 weeks. I would love a natural child birth... I just cannot wait to hold my little man. ive been having a pretty rough pregnancy being nauseous and sick since day one up until now (36 weeks) any advice for easing my mind about childbirth?

They didn't offer to turn your baby? I was 37 weeks and my son was transverse. He turned head down before the ultrasound to check but they were going to turn him, or try to.  I am 38 weeks now... Anyways, a c section will not be so bad. Just think, you get to meet your little one sooner :)

I found out 2 days ago my lill one is breach. Id love to have a natural vaginal breach delivery but there is no medical professionals experienced in pvbb  ( planed vaginal breach births ) so unless my baby turns around i'll be forced to have a c-sec
