alovera water drink

I don't know how many of you are familiar  with it. But I'm not being racial or anything but I grew up on it as being mexican. Anyhoo.... it's a really refreshing drink when it's nice and cold. It's good fiber as well. But what I found out 2 yrs ago was that they cause uterine contractions  as well and I'll when I was pregnant in back then before my son I was previously  pregnant and I was still within  the 1st  trimester. I drank aloe Vera water for a couple days at work. And I ended up with a miscarriage. I was ok Iv accepted it. I never knew then that aloe Vera did that at all. It's not on the usual list Dr's tell you about. Sooo.... after that I never drank it when I was pregnant  with my son. But when I wasn't pregnant I drank it when ever it was on sale. So now being 36 weeks and with Dr's being okay with baby being born at any time due to my as I call it early slow motion labor... I researching and looking into drinking it. It's not the stuff that you detox with or in the fiber area at the store or in health food spot or pharmacy  either. It's aloe Vera juice drink that's in the juice section at the grocery store or in the ethnic foods or the Hispanic area. I thinking of drinking some my husband and I tried  sex but my cervix is so high already and I didn't get any result from sex. If any of you know  of aloe Vera please comment. I'm still researching I'm guessing it's still fairly something new but like I said people drink it all the time. Soo... I'll update if I find any info

I think.In.other countries their food is a lot more organic than ours. By the time the herbs reach our tables most of the essentials are gone because of the pesticides.

True... Iv read that too. But I'm going off my experience  but I did drink alot that time could liters worth.there should be more research done on these things because of how you said other countries have so many other spices and foods that they may not cause anything with them since their bodies may just be very used to them compared here in the US when ethnic foods are not a daily thing for everyone. I read oregano and spices and I'm like I use this stuff daily in my cooking and nothing no reaction.

I've had some throughout this pregnancy, but not often or large amounts.  However, I had a ton of lemongrass in my last pregnancy (I love Thai food!) and it's supposed to cause contractions also, but I never once had a contraction and had to have a csection at 39.5 weeks.  I think a lot of it is that they're still researching these things and it may just be different amounts, or the person consuming, or even what other things are being consumed with it... Same with turmeric in Indian dishes.  All the ethnic food/drinks that contain all of these ingredients makes me wonder what the women in those countries actually do and what the miscarriage rates in that area are. I think it is all just still mostly an unknown part of pregnancy.

It's to soften the cervix and ripen it so it's less painful for labor and so your cervix thins out quicker or aid with the thinning out. You take orally and also vaginally you poke a whole in the gel cap  and put it up there. I only took it orally since my cervix is to high up. So if I had applied it vaginally I think it would have fallen out for me. But it eases the labor.

Yea I went grocery shopping and passed the drinks I was like...should I shouldn't I? Since usually a small bottle that like 8 Oz is 2 bucks and it was on sale for 89cents. I bought some and started researching. Hopefully this will also help along with sexual activity. I stopped taking the primrose oil cause I'm already  effaced alot  and it doesn't make you dilate.

Well that's what I think happened to me since I drank it non stop from Thursday to Saturday  back then. I saw it was on the march if dimes website that it's causes uterine  contractions. But on many other websites  so far widwives  recommend it for late pregnancy.

I drink aloe Vera with my water (the herba life one) and it does not bring contractions. All it does is it cleans out my stomach when I feel I can't go as smoothly. I had never heard of it causing a miscarriage! That is very scary. I actually drank one of those drinks that has pieces of aloe Vera a couple of weeks ago and it didn't cause anything except for cleaning out my stomach.
