baby has arrived

My lil man was born 4/21 at 8:22am weighing 6 lb and 12 oz. 20 inches long. I couldn't be happier, he is such a happy, content Lil baby.

Labor started off smooth and ended up miserable. I started having contractions at 4 am on 4/20. Nothing to painful but enough to make me uncomfortable. By 9:30am my water broke at home and contractions began to become more painful. We arrived at the hospital at 11am. Had my epidural in place by 1 pm and let me tell you the epidural was amazing I couldn't feeling anything :). I dilated on my own till 6 cm then stopped. The drs gave me some pitocin to move things along. I was in labor the rest of the night just waiting to dilate thank goodness for the epidural cause I really couldn't feel anything. 6 am the next day I was fully dilated and began pushing but unfortunately the epidural worked so well I couldn't feel myself pushing. So the Dr shut the epidural off. I then had 2 hrs of hard painful labor before pushing my beautiful son out :). Now that the labor is over, I feel like I was in a car crash and have the worst whip lash and on top of it hemmroids are so bad I can't sit or lay. Oh the misery. Can't wait to start feeling better so I can take care of my baby without so much help lol. Sorry for the long post but good luck to the rest of you April mommies. May god bless you and your little one.
