I never had any classes..they tell you exactly what to do anyway while it's happening..maybe a after care class for a newborn would be good though if you have never been around babies ;)
Waste of money...provided a lot of info if you actually have the perfect birth i.e. natural no epi no complications and they are all about breastfeeding for two years. As soon as something deviates from this i was made to feel like a bad mom. A lot of useless info about perfect world situations which my first pregnancy and baby was not.
Im going tk take one just becuase ... byt the hospital yoh deliver at should have them free ask your doctor your next appointment... its good to know a few thibgs to get you prepared for when it happens labor wise yes some it comes naturla but who really knows
I took one class early this month but my husband did not want to go at all so I made him a proposal; we would stop going if he'd do them with me online.
The classes were free but you don't have to take them. It's up to you whether you want to take them or not. As for me, I wanted to take them because I think it's good for my husband to be informed since this will be our first child and I don't want him panicking during labor, lol. I took care of my younger siblings so I'm pretty confident on the whole thing but anything new I learn can't be bad.
I don't think you have to take it.i did with my first child.it was nice being around other expecting mothers and the information was really helpful. It's alot more what your body will go through what doctors will do pretty much let's you know what to expect during labor.they also had a tour of labor and delivery center.i found it informative and helped me not freak out during the actual event cause I wasn't worried about if everything was normal or what to expect.it gave me piece of mind.but lots of people don't ever take the class and have just as good experience.
I never took them and they were offered to me free.. I have three girls and one on the way. Just never interested me.
