Hi ladies I'm 40+6 I had my stretch and sweep yesterday and today I went to the loo stood up and a big mucus blob feel on the floor sorry to be gross was discharge and brownish colour little bit of red ... is this my mucus plug? has anybody lost a big mucus plug all in one go before after a sweep... any advise would be great x

Thanks ladies my second baby but don't remember my mucus plug being that big last time but I never had a sweep with my first good luck to you all x

Yes, sounds like mucus plug.  Brownish color is normal

I got my sweep and stretch done yesterday Doctor told me that there will a bit of spotting in the mucus and not to worry about it. Only signs she asked me to be on the lookout for is 1. the continuous leaking or gush of water from vagina. 2. Baby movement 3.Regular Contractions. But blob of mucus is a sign that you are getting ready for labour. Good luck.

But do bring it up with your mid wife too.
