I'll  be 26 weeks tomorrow and I'm  up 11.5 lbs as of this morning. Id say 80% of this pregnancy I make sure to eat light n healthy because with my first I gained 70 lbs! By this point I was already up probably 30+ lbs. Im sure by friday I'll be up 4-5 lbs due to indulging for the holidays  with family but I'll get right back to my routine after the weekend :). I think you're right where  you should be for 24 weeks though :).

I started out at 98 lbs (5'1) with my first baby and delivered at 168. With my second I started at 141 lbs and delivered at 160 lbs. This is our last child and I started out at 110 lbs so I'm about 121.5 lbs now. Hoping to not go past 135 lbs but I shall see :).

I'm 24 weeks too due April 17th and I've gained 20 lbs. I started out chubby though. I started at 180lbs and I'm Now 200. I don't even care. My doctor isn't worried at all so I decided not to worry about it. Ill just hit the gym after he's born :)

I could care less about how much weight I gain, but I do care what I eat. What you eat genetically influences their health when they are adults and even their children's health! Science is learning more and more that what the mother eats while pregnant literally affects the genetic makeup of the fetus for the rest of their life, possibly even more so than what the baby experiences in their own lifetime. This is why some people can eat, smoke and do whatever they want and still be healthy while others can eat healthy, exercise and still have heart attacks. Genetics is not a simple on/off system. There are so many other factors that determine how those genes will work and research shows that the diet of the mother is a huge influence- setting the genetic foundation for the rest of that child's life and the next generation too.

If you are really worried about your weight gain call your Dr. They can tell you what's a normal range. Have you had your glucose test? Could be a gestational diabetes issue. If that is the case your Dr will know how to proceed once you get results. I wouldn't stress too much though.

I am 28+4, and started out heavy at 164, I am now 182. My Dr isn't at all concerned. I had one bad month where I gained 10lbs! But other than that it's been a steady 4-5 lbs/month. My Dr told me that I shouldn't worry at all about my weight, that if she thinks it is getting to a point where I need to be concerned that she will let me know. That made me feel a lot better knowing she isn't worried and will do all that worrying for me! Just says to sit back and enjoy as much as I can worry free!

I'm 27 weeks, I've gained 30 pounds! I'm not worried about it. I Love eating whatever i want. My weight always comes off no problem within the first year after baby. Breastfeeding, running, and plenty of water and fiber gets me feeling and looking great again in no time!
