shortened cervix?

I'm 31 weeks and 2 days. I went to the hospital for cramping and leaking fluid. My doctor did an ultrasound and everything was fine with the baby. She was head down and my doctor said that my cervix was shortened and was 22 mm. If I reach 20 I'm in danger for preterm labor. Has any other moms/moms to be gone through this? He sent me home on restrictions but I'm nervous.

I found out my cervix was short at 25 weeks. They put me on bed rest and checked my cervix weekly. Each week the numbers fluctuated from high to low but I'm now 31 weeks and everything looks good this far. I had the steroid shots and weekly progesterone shots. As long as you drink lots of fluids and stay off your feet you should be fine

I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm 31 weeks with a shortened cervix and baby is head down.... docs have done all we can do with steroids and antibiotics in preparation for my little man coming early. We are hoping he stays put a few more weeks! I'm on bed rest and 2 appointments a week until he comes. Best of luck to you and your little one! Hope we all make it 6-9 weeks more :)

Yeah I went to the hospital when I was 24 weeks for bleeding. They told I had a short cervix so I was put on hospital bed rest for four weeks. My cervix was 15mm. I'm home now still on bed rest and now 30 weeks. The doctor said I'm not dilated so that's good.
