sleep problems

I'm 28 weeks and between insomnia, heartburn, and my fiancé's lovely snoring I get little to no sleep at night. I know this is partly my bodies way of getting me used to no sleep once our baby comes but I desperately need sleep!! I wont mind not sleeping once the baby is here bc then atleast there will be a reason im up but for now this no sleep isnt cutting it haha. Im constantly in a bad mood and mad at him for getting peaceful sleep all night (stupid i know, I blame the hormones lol) I usually sleep until about midnight and then pretty much awake the rest of the night. I may sleep an hour here or there.

Any tips on helping me get some sleep I would really appreciate!!

I completely understand! My husband snores, and has recently started sleeping in the other room so that I can try to sleep and he doesn't get woken up every time I used the bathroom which is about every 44 mins. My heartburn has been extremely horrible at night recently. Last night, I had a spoonful or ice cream before bed b.c I dont like milk and was hoping that would help with the acid reflux b.c they say dairy helps it. I fell asleep around 11 and was up at 130 to pee. My acid was horrible so I took some tums, ot still didn't wprk, I ended up being awake until 630 this morn when he left for work b.c of it. I got so mentally tired from trying so hard to sleep that I eventually broke down in tears balling my eyes out b.c I was so frustrated. I guess it worked b.d I fell asleep u til 9am. I'm hoping to still go back to sleep. I though cuz I'm still exhausted. Tha k god I don't work!

Im in the exact same position! !! Let me start with the best thing...ear plugs!! Im a light sleeper and my fiancé snores. Also is hard to nap during the day because of noises. With the ear plugs..i got great sleep!my fiancé brings them from work. Not sure where u but them at but if u do buy them. . Make sure you put them in right and they are deep in your ear otherwise you'll still hear the noise. As for heartburn. . That's my current struggle. What i try to do is eat a good breakfast and lunch them towards the end of the night. .i snack on something small. Liquids don't help and i was told to stay away from tomatoes and bananas help.

Thank you all! Maybe I'll try some benadryl before bed or ask my doctor when I go next week if she can prescribe me something

Hopefully I'll find some relief somehow!

I take half a unisom (doxylamine succinate) or 1 benadryl (25mg). I sleep like a baby! If I don't take one or the other, I'm up at 1am and can't go back to sleep. My doctor prescribed the unisom for nausea in a WAY higher dose in my fist trimester, so I figure this tiny dose to help me sleep is just fine! And benadryl is safe in pregnancy for colds and allergies too.  Hope all gets better for you.

I know the feeling. I wasn't getting sleep for a while and I really didn't know why. My kids would be sleep and my fiancé was working third shift so he was gone through the night. I used to stay up until he got off work which was at 6:30a.m. It was terrible! He used to get mad at me and tell my "you need to get sleep for the baby" "why are you always awake?" " just close your eyes and go to sleep" i used to tell him that I understand if frustration but if it was that easy I would go to sleep it's just I can't. The only thing that changed it was recently he got promoted at his job and now he's on first shift 6:30a.m to 2:30p.m and i sleep through the morning, a nap when he get off then since he gotta be at work early in the morning we go to sleep around 9:30-10 every night and I sleep the whole night. The only thing that interferes is the frequent stops to the bathroom but for the most part i get way more rest. I guess i just needed him here with me through the night. I hope everything gets better for you. Just try to sleep enough during the day and before bed have a little snack and a warm bath and see if that'll help.
