I'm due on the 16th but I have a job interview

I'm due on the 16th but I have a job interview on the 11th. My Dr said my next appointment is on the 13th and on that day I should come with my labor bag. I'm worried because I have to travel. What should I do??

Thanks again

I ended up not going for the interview... I weighed my options and all.  I believe I will get another opportunity for a job

That's a long drive... I'm sure it's doable. You should probably take breaks here and there to stretch out, etc. I'm not sure if you'll be in the boonies and not near any hospitals, but maybe make note of where they are along your route just in case. Especially on a printed map/ Thomas guide just in case some areas have bad gps and the phone/ car GPS won't work.

Is there anyway way to do a video interview by Skype or something along those lines? I know they can't really discriminate against pregnant women but, you're going to give birth soon and they might be weary of hiring you since maternity leave, bonding, etc and if you might have time off for a c section.

There are women that travel like that it work up until they go into labor. You might go past 40 weeks, you never know. So if it's really something you need, you're not having a high risk pregnancy, you'll probably be fine.

Hopefully things turn out for you and the trip is worth it and you get the job.

Thank you Miyu for your comment. I will be traveling by car. It is a 6 hours drive. My fiancé is driving. My concern here is that given that my appointment is on Wednesday, can I still travel? Can I take that risk? I need the job too

What exactly is your concern?

Traveling by plane? Or just driving? You shouldn't be flying.

Are you rethinking the interview, doctors appt or something?

You just have to remember you could pop any day now or can go over the due date. Your doctor probably just wanted to make sure you have your things together in case too
