I still havent went for a walk yet:( I need to get a double stroller still. But with all my other kids I went the day after I got home, I was to stir crazy to stay indoors. As long as baby isnt too hot or too cold, walk away. If you feel up to it that is:)

Amen on the sling I love mine! It was probably the best baby gear item I have bought so far. I like to use it at the store also it keeps baby tucked away and people from wanting to touch her.

I took our baby on a walk when he was 3 days old.  I just think they don't want you to take the babies into places where there are crowds but its good for them to get fresh air.

yep!  I have been putting Cooper in his sling and taking him for a walk along w my three-y-o while the older kids are in school.  Babies usually love walks!  And good for mom, too. = )

Hey there glad to hear your feeling well enough to take the baby for a walk! I took Bella out last week around a week and a half I guess. It was the first time I was able to get my act together enough to go. I went in the morning before it got to hot. She slept the whole way.

The only thing they said to me at the hospital was not to have her around crowds for 6 weeks. I bet your fine for walking as soon as you feel up to it.
