His dr sent me straight to a specialist. The specialist is sending him for a cat scan to see if it is an infection or just full of puss. He prescribed him a stonger antibiotic, now we have to wait til Friday for the test. If it is just full of puss he needs to drain it out asap, and if it is an infection hopefuly the new meds will do the trick. I'll let you know the results even though I am dying here he seems to be in no pain he is just as happy as ever eating, crawling, but it kills me to see him like that. THANK GOD
How did everything go?????
Yesterday he was a lot better but the lump is still the same. He actually barely started eating again today, he won't open his mouth for nothing and today he ate cereal with banans for breakfast. His apt. is at 8:30 am I'll let you know how it goes. He is not fussy at all hasn't even had a fever, but he did stop eating all he did was drink his formula, I think he has even lost weight.
I would make sure to get him in on tuesday. They might have to give him another regiment of antibiotics. We got lucky with Tristan and the swelling didnt last long. Poor guy:~( Is he fussy like he is in pain??? Eating normaly???
I hope he is feeling better soon!
Yes, they gave him antibiotics, and his left side has gone down but the gland under his check is still very big and red looks like it is gonna pop. Yesterday it was purple looking and today it is only red. I just thought it would go down faster then it has. His 10 days are up tomorrow for the antibiotics and his dr apt. is Tuesday.
Did they give you antibiotics for it???? My oldest had some kind of infection the they still have no clue what caused it but his whole left side of his neck and face were swollen. Like he had this huge growth coming off his neck. It was his gland. They pumped him full of fluids in the ER and also antibiotics. Within a few days it went down. We used tylenol for pain management.
I hope your little one starts feeling better soon!
Oh my goodness your poor little one! I have no information for, but I just wanted to tell you that I am really sorry!
I hope your little one is not in too much pain! Sending prayers your way!
