Boy/Girl nursery.......................

I have seen some pictures of some very cool looking nurserys on medhelp. I am asking for a little help with some ideas. I am closing on my first home on May 14th. I honestly cant wait:) Its a 4 br/ 2 bath split level. With only 4 room the babies will have to share. Dalton will be 11 months when his sister arrives. Being that this is my first girl I wanted to go all out PINK. But I cant because they have to share:( I would bunk Dalton with his 5 year old brother but since he will be on the lower level that doesnt really work, plus my 2 older boys finally get a room of their own (they are so happy too). So how can I make the nursery of my dreams for a girl, but at the same time a boy??? I have thought about painting the room half pink and half blue, but I was hoping for some good ideas........... If any one has any ideas can you please let me know?? Nothing is off limits, it MY house!!!! I can finally do what I want:)))
Thanks,
Tabitha~

I also have a boy/girl room but mine are 5 and 9 and it had to have something they agree on so it is all spongebob and we love it, but they are older.  When they first got started sharing I had the wall with his bed blue and hers pink, just the one wall and his theme was spiderman and hers was pink (dora/princess/strawberry shortcake) anything girlie and he didn't mind as long as it didn't touch his stuff. Then it was really nice too but I like the way it is now.

I think we are 22w5d today, we also had a girl after several boys so I also know how you feel wanting everything pink, because I am the same, even her hangers had to be pink. What I hated back then was that there was nothing pink her car seat was gray and her playpen was blue so I made sure she had eveything else PINK! Not to mention pink is also my favorite color.

My son and daughter shared a room for several years until we moved, they were 5 and 8.  I'm not into characters, since they seem to get tired of those quickly.  We kinds did a his half/ her half thing, they each had a dresser and a shelf on their side of the room, though they shared bunk beds.

Although we still rent, this is the first time I've been able to do a baby's room (the others have shared), and I am excited, too!

I think the half & half thing could be really cute, especially if you go all the way with it: different colored rugs, walls, curtains, etc.  Really make it obvious and contrast as much as possible.  Or there are a lot of cute neutral themes, like a rainforest. Fisher Price makes rainforest things in boy and girl colors, so you could stick with one theme but have different versions of it.

Good luck!!
