ultrasound update!!

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I got a nap in after not sleeping one wink last night. So here goes..............................We are having a ..................................................................................................................................GIRL!!!!! OMG I truely didnt think it would ever happen!!! As soon as the tech said it, I started to tear up, my hubby looked over and said "your crying!" Then right before the water works started the tech hands me a kleenex and I couldnt stop, lol:) Baby looked great!! She is measuring right on schedule!! The doctor came in after about 15 minutes of making us wait and scared the **** out of me. So baby girl has something called echogenic bowel. Anyone ever heard of this?? I had to talk to a genitics conselor, and now need test to rule out DS, but the doctor said baby didnt show any signs on ultrasound of it and some other genitic problems. Or she said it couls be blood in the bowel, or nothing at all. She had me so freaked (that is why I never did any of those stupid test that they offer you) My hubby said it didnt matter either way and he was sure there is nothing wrong. But the cool part about all of this is I get a 28 week ultrasound just to check baby girl and make sure she is measuring right.
So as happy as I am right now about finally having a girl after having 3 boys, they had to go ruin it for me, lol. I guess we will see in a few weeks.
OMG I still cant believe it!! ITS A GIRL!! I CAN FINALLY BUY PINK!!!!

Well, first of all congrats on the baby girl I know how you feel after having 3 boys in a row my friends laughed at me bc I even had pink hangers for her I even wanted to paint my room pink but dh didn't let me, and as for the other stuff I really don't know why they do that to us with her 5yrs ago they told me that she had ds and with this one at my first us they said the baby had liquid in the heart and they sent me to a specialist and nothing and I know several people who have beem told different stuff wrong about their babys and I haven't seen anything so far. So good luck and try to relax and not think about the bad only good.

Heart rate was high. But with all of my pregnancies the heart ratess have been high so............

YAY!!  Good for you, I'm so glad you got just what you wanted.  Try not to worry, there are so many little things that can "fix" themselves before baby is even born.  Hopefully this is one of those.  Best wishes!!

Congrats!! How exciting!  i LOVE having a little girl. It's so much fun.

My dr tried to peek for us at our u/s yesterday (16 week check up), but the umbilical cord was in the way :( I have to wait until my 20 week scan.

Good job!! I'm very happy for you.....I want a girl so bad...I have two boys right now. It would be so fun to have girl!!
