Finally have insurance and an appointment
Just wanted to say that, 'cause it's a really happy thing. I haven't had any kind of insurance in years and it's pretty novel being able to schedule appointments and stuff and know that they'll actually get paid for.
Had the appointment this morning. All the people I talked to are throughly awesome. It was mostly a lot of answering questions, although they are running a couple tests. Had to give them what looked like about half my blood supply (exaggeration, I know, but it was a -lot-). And I got to hear the baby's heartbeat...faster than mine, slower than a guinea pig, as it turns out. (They didn't tell me the exact number and I forgot to ask).
