alright thats great, i was hoping it was just some BS.
The 28th she will be 3 months old- she hasnt rolled over since but she really tries too.
She smile, laughs, coo's, and I swear a heard a babble here and there.
She loves it when I give her "rasberries" (it think thats what they are called) on her tummy!
She gets plenty on tummy time- she spits up more than I like, so since her neck is so stronge and even stronger today she sleeps on her tummy. The only time she is on her back in when she is in her play mat with supervision bc even after a good couple burps she will still thow up and it will make her choke.
***THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE EVERYONE!!! IT'S APPRICIATED!!!***
One thing I have read that autistic infants don't smile or really communicate. Don't know where you read about the "doing things early" but my mom seemed to think the same thing, although my little guy rolled over in the begining, but just now at 3 months is starting to again. Anyway, after my Mom had me paranoid I read into the smiling thing and talking thing. Since he sure smiles, laughs and has "conversations" with us, I am no longer worried. I think your LO is just fine and strong!! :)
My son has met all the same milestones as your child, he started rolling at one month exactly, lifting his head 45 degrees at one day and could lift it 90 degress (as well as lifting his chest) at a couple weeks. He is very chatty. I'm not at all worried about him having autism I am just enjoying all the things he has learned to do and how much more interactive he is getting everyday.
I'm not sure if your daughter has always had a lot of tummy time but that seems to make a huge difference. Lochlyn was always lying on my chest and he prefers being on his tummy to play so he has had the chance to develop all those muscles
my dd is doing everything you describe- she even has "conversations" with us. except the rolling- at night she's swaddled, and she's never on the floor because of reflux so she hasn't had an opportunity to try. she gets her tummy time inclined on our chests and has fantastic head and neck control.
i though dd was just on target with the alertness, socialness, and head control because my 1st was the same way. Just yesterday my LC, a very experienced baby nurse, was telling me that she's advanced. but don't worry- my first is now 2 years 3 months with no signs of autism- just extremely bright and social with very advanced language skills
Nope absolutely not true!
Kids with autism CAN progress faster then normal or just at a normal rate. Autistic kids regress at a certain point (between 18 months and 2 years, why immunizations are FALSELY linked to autism)
Some kids do progress quickly which makes it a shock when they suddenly stop developing and actually regress in progress.
Wow that's awesome! My little girl is 2 months and has not even tried to roll over. Since the baby is responsive to her name I wouldn't think she has autism. I read where babies don't follow objects with their eyes or interact with their parents much when they have autism and that doesn't sound like the case with your little one.
Wow, she's strong for such a little peanut! My ds rolled over at his picture appt at 2 DAYS old!!!! But it was a "fluke", he's only rolled over 2-3 times since.= ) He is also very strong and lifts his head and body, responds to his name, etc, but he was 8 lbs at birth and is now over 12 lbs.
I have never heard of "advancing" early being a sign of autism...all three of my other children did things "early", especially dd, who was WAY early on everything, and they are all perfectly bright and healthy. I expect your baby is fine; she may continue to do things advanced, or she may slow down, but i think it is way too early to worry about autism, which btw, is MUCH less common in females.
