Nap time

So for the last couple of weeks I have been trying to put the baby in his bed for naps.  It has been working out pretty well but the only problem I am having is him staying asleep.  I will put him in there asleep or close to being asleep and he will wake up and cry for about 5 minutes which I let him do but I don't let him cry more than 15 minutes.  The problem I am having is that he is constantly waking up during his naps and will cry at the most 5 minutes and then will go back to sleep.  He will do this several times in an hour to hour and a half nap.  Are other babies doing this too?  What can I do to make him stay asleep?? Is this something he will grow out of??

mine kept waking herself in the bassinet. she would grunt and make noises all night long. swaddling solved that problem instantly- wish i had thought of it sooner. they still startle easily at this age, and he may be startling himself awake. with my first, using a simple sleep positioner helped her feel secure- just the cheap ones (under $10) that go along either side of the torso. she liked the feeling of something snug around her.

I think thats normal. Just try to keep some consistancy and he should be better soon. Some babies just need more movement untill they get older. It will get better:-)

Yeah i try to do that but sometimes he falls asleep in his bouncy chair before I get a chance to lay him down in his bed but even if I lay him down awake he still wakes up several times and cries throughout his naps.

Im not sure if this will work for you or not but with all my kids I try to lay them down while they are awake so that they get used to falling asleep on their own. It might take awhile but it worked for us. Good luck:-)
