false pregnancy or ectopic??!

I went to planned parenthood in January '09 some time before the 17th. i told the lady i thought i might be pregnant and answered all of her questions after doing a urine sample..i heard her say outside the door "well she did miss her period" momentarily after she came in and said "well you're pregnant!' my due date was sep.2 then became august 26th after i seen my obgyn. I wondered if she was lying bt mentioned very little about it. it stayed in the back of my mind though. I got an OBGYN and have had 3 appointments. my next is the 31st. my belly's hard, i as well as others have felt the baby move and it sticks out. I had all the symptoms but today when i went to the e.r because of cramps they looked at me like i was stupid and told me i wasnt pregnant from the urine test. they did the blood test and said it was almost zero and did an ultra sound and a vaginal ultra sound. (reg ultra sound of which me, my bestie, and cousin all thought we seen the baby but said there was no baby.) they said either i was never prego or didnt notice i had miscarried a while back. I had no bleeding though. They called it a missed miscarriage and told me to follow up with my obgyn. all ii could do was cry. i don't know what to do except have an emergency meeting with my doc tomorrow.

I am with you drmwrjean...waiting to see if she tells us what is going on!
I know a blighted ovum can absorb back into your body...but 3 appts and they didn't figure it out sooner?

you're OB would have confirmed your pregnancy if you've already had 3 visits to see him.  They would have drawn your hcg level then along with other tests.  If you weren't pregnant you're OB wouldn't have continued to see you.   Haven't you hear the baby's heartbeat ?

This is the weirdest thing I've every heard.

Not an ectopic...your fallopian tube would have bursted.

Doubt it's a false pregnancy...you said you've been to the OB three times.

Miscarriage...you would have had bleeding and/or cramping.   If you had a miscarriage recently and have yet to pass the products of conception it would have shown up on the ultrasound and you would have seen a baby

Call your OB and definitely keep us posted.   What happened to your baby??

Are you showing at all???

If you have had all these appointments and stuff you should have alreday had a ultrasound, did you have one? Did ou hear a heartbeat yet? Did your ob do a urine sample at her office, or did you only get the one at the clinic. I think this is all mis communication on everybody's parts, whish you well though!

If your beta levels were at zero, my guess is it was a false pregnance. With a missed miscarriage, it takes a while for your hormone leverls to reach zero again. Did you ever see your doctor or confirm a heartbeat before. If you were due at the end of August you'd be around 17weeks. I've had a missed miscarriage, and you need a d and c to clear out the tissue or you would have gotton an infection. Also I agree with the above statement...not an ectopic...for the same reasons mentioned above. Goo d luck with your appt. If your abdomen is swollen or "hard" you might have a cyst that has caused swelling.

it wasn't an ectopic. you'd have known about that, plenty of bleeding and pain in one of your fallopian tubes real bad. it also would have been spotted on the u/s. i can't decide whether it's a false pregnancy or a missed miscarriage.
