Thanks and I hope that everyone is enjoying motherhood and having some lovely birthday celebrations!!
I too want to add that I am so grateful for this website and to be in touch with all of you nice people.
I'm not sure who knows my story but I've had such a tough year with my twins, one of the twins, Georgia has previously suffered from acid reflux and has eczema, before she was under a skin specialist she just used to scream the house down, sounded like she was being murdered, I didn't know which way to turn, the process of her care / treatment took such a long time and my husband works away, I really don't know how I haven't cracked up, both babies have pretty much been really unsettled where they just cried for most of the time but now I feel as though I've turned a corner, things have improved in general, Georgia's skin condition isn't as bad as what it was, they are both a bit older, more settled and happier, I am now able to enjoy them rather than waking up with a dredded feeling in my tummy and ending up in tears myself!!
My twin gilrls birthday of Olivia & Georgia was Wednesday 28th July, originally due on 15th August, I was suprised that I went as far as I did, for the size of me!! We had an open house where lots of family and friends came with lots of cards and gifts, it was a lovely day but think it got a bit much for my little ones, it was very noisy with a lot going on and they soon got really tired.
A relative of mine came to my our house with her 7 month old baby who was full of cold, her nose was streaming and unfortunately, Olivia caught the cold and ended up in hospital on the high dependency unit, when she catches cold, she has a condition where her airways close and she is unable to breathe, she was on oxygen and a drip, the doctors said that she was very ill, we were in hospital for 4 days. She gradually improved and we could come home, she has to have inhalors 6 times every four hours and then it gets less frequent. It was terrifying to see her gasping for breath, I called for an ambulance and they were here in about 2 minutes.
Is anyone familiar with this condition?, they do grow out of this condition, I just hope it's soon!!!! xxx
