Its the same for me - I get this big pain on my left hip and sometimes I feel pain in my lower abdomen but I guess like everyone says and from what I read that the uterus is expanding and your hips are loosening up so I put up with it but I CANNOT cross my legs anymore. Once I cross my legs it hurts even more so now I just put up on my legs on a small stool at home or on some boxes in the office. It helps so much. Maybe you can try that as well?
I am small and have felt alot of pelvic pain early in both pregnancies .I would let your body tell you what you can and cannot do and dont let anyone make you feel you have to "suck it up".People who have no issues in their pregnancies dont understand what it is like to be in pain all the time I hope you can find something to help.
I agree with Rebekah. Follow your instincts. I don't think you should be feeling much pelvic pressure this early. That doesn't usually happen until the 3rd trimester. I've suffered off and on from sciatica for years. Pregnancy can definately make it worse. Good Luck!
I think with most things in pregnancy you should go with your gut feeling, if you feel that your body is telling you to slow down , slow down! take it easy, and then if you feel up to it do a little, bt only do what you are comfortable with! the heat packs can be very comforting, but be careful with them don't put heat packs directly on your skin and don't keep them anywhere near your abdomin for too long! I have had a lot of on going back pain since my first pregnancy 7 years ago and with each pregnancy it does'nt get any better! (this is my 4th baby) you can go to a chiropractor while you are pregnant, but you need to let him know that you are pregnant! I take tylenol if the pain is really bad and do not feel guilty about it tylenol will not hurt the baby, but your baby does pick up on your stress level which can be intensified by pain. i hope you start feeling better, but chances are it won't until sometime after the baby is born, the extra weight and stress on your back and groin will continue until atleast after the baby. Good luck
I see a chiropractor on a regular basis. I have had siatica pain since a car accident in 04. I really thought I would be in more pain than I have had so far. The chiropractor helps alot. I'm a bartender so I'm on my feet 9 hour shift. My back and feet kills me by the end of the shift. Sleeping has been difficult to because laying on my side hurts my hip. I usually wake up on my back and I know I'm not suppose to be sleeping that way.
