Just this week, I'm also starting to feel like my lung capacity is a bit lower. And especially with my pregnancy pillow in bed, it's sometimes a fight to get up to pee at night! I guess I'm lucky, though, because I can still bend over to pick things up and sit on the floor and all that without a problem (and I'm almost 24 weeks now!!!). My normal mode of transport is my old 12-speed bicycle, though, and I've noticed that my belly is starting to get in the way of comfortable riding. I'm going to need to start using a more upright bike soon!
Ugh..........and the nasal congestion is just awful.
Maxine77,
I feel ya! I'm going through the same thing. And it is so hard to just do simple stuff like getting up or walking just a bit faster. I feel like a 90 year old grandma!!!
Heather - you mentioned what I am going thru but forgot to mention - my legs feel like weights when I climb the stairs too. I am wondering if its also partly due to water retention thats why we have problems going up the stairs. I will ask my Ob tomorrow abt this squishy stomach we are all getting pushed up haha.
I cant even sit on the floor anymore whenever my 8 year old daughter pats the floor and asks me to sit with her to play. I cant get up and she sure doesnt have the strength to pull a 160lbs woman up!
I'm only 19 weeks and I'm having a hard time sitting up to get out of bed. We have a huge puzzle couch which eats you up and I can't sit on it. I can't get off it.
I'm also finding myself winded more easily the last week.
Yeah, I've been getting out of breath lately. Usually from walking. I can still bend over but I'm having a more difficult time getting up out of my comfy chair or from laying down.
I can breathe OK, but it's very hard to bend down or bring my legs up. Also, at night I noticed my legs feel very heavy going up the stairs after work, running errands, evening walks, ect. Last week I had the worst stomach issues I think from intestines getting all squished around. I have heard that our uteruses at this point get big (soccor ball size) and start to put pressure on our lungs, and other organs... and being out of breath is normal. Best way to be comfortable is to lay on the left side. For sure mention it to the doc though at your next appointment maybe they will have suggestions we don't know about :)
