Is 27 weeks or 28 weeks the start of 3rd trimester?

I am confused. Medhelp and baby2see.com congratulated me on hitting my 3rd trimester today (I am 27 weeks) but Babycenter.com and WTE.com still puts me in the week before the 3rd trimester. So which should it be? I don remember being considered as 3rd tri when I was 27 weeks when pg with my other 2 kids...

Yes - actually you hit the nail on the head. The tracker with the bear does make you feel better compared to counting weeks. From a 3 digit ie. 126 days - now its 90 days it really does make you feel closer. But I would be happy to know I am in the 3rd trimester. I am going to see my Ob this Friday for my 28th week growth scan so I will ask him if I am officially in the 3rd tri!

LOL well if it makes you feel closer that awesome, it doesn't matter that much to me which week it is, but I like the little tracker that says how many days until the baby gets here , saying it's only 90 something days seems like a lot less than say I have another 14 weeks! 90 days just seems shorter than 14 weeks to me LOL!

I'v always heard that 27 was the last week of the 2nd trimester and 28 was the first week of the 3rd trimester with my other pregnancies, but it's close enough i don't suppose it really matters!

Hmmmm....I don't know. I'm thinking 13 weeks is a trimester which would mean 27 weeks would be third trimester.
