Looks like I will be having a July baby

Well ladies, it looks like my very beginning of August baby is now going to be a July baby...They are inducing me friday 7/30....

I've been having contractions as well- had a planned c-section for Aug 5th, but will have this baby Friday the 30th as well.  They moved me up a week due to all my labor symptoms.  I'm nervous and anxious, but will be happy to finally meet her.  Good luck to everyone else being induced- I think Friday will be a busy day for a lot of us!

Good luck! How exciting! Are you doing elective induction or are you being induced for medical reasons? My doctor has told me she offers elective induction at 39 weeks and I honestly have no idea what to do *sigh*

I'm dialated 2cm (I get checked again tomorrow) and have been having a lot of contractions for weeks now, I am effaced some, but I can't remember how much! with my last one (this is baby #4 for me) I was dialated to 3/3.5 for  4 weeks (It sucked) then they decided to induce me a few days before my due date! I asked that they start by only breacking my water and then letting me walk around, to see if that would get things going with pitocin, I was lucky and the waterbreaking and walking did the trick! I had him 5 hours later without ever having to have pitocin at all! from what I hear pitocin will usually give you pretty strong contractions, but atleast that really gets things going! I am being induced Friday also. At my last appt I was 2 cm effaced and 70% dialated. I was also induced with my daughter 5 years ago and she came out within 6 hours. I am hoping this one comes just as quickly. Good Luck!!

It is a her, and yes I am excited, but nervous...I have never been induced, so I really dont know what to expect...They did a membrane sweep last week, and nothing, not even spotting, so today they did another, but they said it probably wouldnt help since it didnt even cause me to dialate anymore last week

Congratulations! I'm glad you know when your going to have her? him? I am already dialated and am not due for another 4 1/2 weeks, so I am hoping this baby comes a little early! Good luck friday hope everything goes good for both of you!
