I am 5wks 3 days today, my hcg was 4590 yesterday, however the e.r. dr that i saw wanted a vaginal u/s so he did one and said there is a cystic structure in the uteras, no fetal pole or yolk sac. he said he was certain i would miscarry. i explained my hcg was only 235   6 days prior and he went up alot. he said he should be able to see something and he couldnt see anything but fluid.  Has anyone been through this??

I would get a second opinion. However my doctor said when your hcgs reach 2000 they should be able to see the fetal pole and yolk sac. I am sorru but def make an appt to go to your ob.

same like us in malaysia.. we only go for u/s after 10/12 weeks.. Totally agree with my3stars, Dont just rely on 1 doctor's opinion.. Go and get second thought or more.. This problem are very serious to depend on 1 doctor.. Best of luck.. Take care..

i wish i could tell you something, but i am from Canada and we here don't get u/s done till about 10/12 weeks, to be sure....(free med. care go figure) don't worry, if it went up it is good then, don't just listen to the one dr....you need more opinions, and i believe that 4590 for 5 weeks is not bad!
