The name Elian, does it read the same as alian in English? In spanish it doesn't but i live in the U.S and dont want baby being mad fun of in the future. Thanks ladies :)

Other little kids might still miss pronounce it and teachers will probably guess at how to say it, but that's how I would say it

@Gkatzy Yes ell-ee-on (Elián) is what its pronounced like.

I live in the uk and there is an English name of Alan,  I assume this is what you mean because I've never heard of alian..
I'm not sure how to pronounce elian but don't think it would be the same...
